Acrilex Inc, manufacturer of Acriglas® Custom Acrylic, has announced the addition of the Acriglo Photoluminescent series of acrylic sheets for lighting. The concept behind Acriglo is to be able to provide illumination without backup power sources during a power outage, or to extend the period of illumination once battery backup fails. This can be accomplished with standard opal acrylic with the photoluminescent pigment included, or in many different faux marble patterns.
