Acrilex, Inc., a leading producer and distributor of high-end custom-colored acrylics, will be showcasing its new Acriglas® Minerals, Combinations and Clear Impressions series of acrylic sheets at Global Shop 2009, March 23rd to 25th, in Las Vegas, Nevada.

For a greener choice that looks as good as it performs, the Acriglas Minerals series of cast acrylic sheets utilize up to twenty percent genuine Muscovite Mica Flakes. When encapsulated in an acrylic matrix, this naturally occurring mineral, considered a “scrap” material in its raw form, is transformed into a formable and stunning finished product ideal for cosmetic displays, store fixtures, and millwork.

The new Acriglas Combinations series of acrylic sheets combines the talents of Acrilex’s manufacturing facility with the talents of its acrylic vendors, offering the newest line of laminated sheets in a virtually unlimited array of combinations. Acrilex has the ability to create a unique monolithic material based on each customer’s specifications. Color and clear sheets can be fused together for added depth, or several layers of colors can be combined for dramatic edge effects.

Designed to reproduce the look of upscale, patterned, tempered glass, the Acriglas Clear Impressions series has crystal clarity, unlike glass, and can be made with textures on one or both sides of the sheet. The aesthetic appeal, as well as the availability, toughness, and ease of fabrication, make the Clear Impressions series a practical and cost effective alternative to the glass products. The latest additions to the texture palette of the Clear Impressions include: Brushed, Woven Silk, Mesozoic, Precambrian, Box Mini-Flute, Waffle Iron, Techno and Morning Dew.
